Attending a wedding it’s a joyful occasion and most of the people are happy to do it. Getting ready for such an event may be more complicated than it sounds. Now I’m going to try to give you some tips about what you shouldn’t wear at a wedding.

Usually weddings are elegant and classy events. Attending this kind of events it’s quite a responsibility, in fashion terms. You have to be in line with the whole wedding, you don’t have to be the color spot. The first thing you shouldn’t wear at a wedding it’s any color that comes from the white color scheme like: ivory, cream, white etc. The only person present at a wedding that should wear these colors is the bride and only the bride. You don’t want to get all the attention, leave it all to her, it’s her day!

Another important tip regarding what you shouldn’t wear at a wedding, it’s about the color of the bridesmaid’s dresses.You may guide yourself having that color in your mind but you shouldn’t buy a dress or an outfit that’s the same color. Think that you don’t want to be mistaken as one of the bridesmaid’s especially if you aren’t one.

Think about the wedding theme when you buy your wedding outfit. You shouldn’t wear at a wedding something that’s completely out of the whole wedding theme. Be in accordance with the theme and try to fit in. Don’t wear a shinny dress if the wedding is casual.You shouldn’t wear at a wedding something too sophisticated if you’re attending an outdoor one. Be casual if the event it’s casual.  Don’t go to the beach with a true gown, try to chose a perfect outfit for all situations.

Before choosing or buying your dress, you should talk with the future bride or the organizers of the wedding if you are a little bit confused regarding the way that the guests are going to be dresses at the event. If it’s elegant and formal you surely shouldn’t wear at the wedding something simple and casual. If it’s simple and elegant, it’s probably all right. Even though a lot of women look good in black and you know that black it’s a very formal color, you shouldn’t wear it at a wedding. Usually black resemble with funerals and that kind of events so, you should chose some nice light colors that would make you look good and shinny.  Also if the wedding has an historical or story theme and in case you need a costume be sure you want to wear such a costume. There are a lot of weddings where the guests can wear theme costumes just if they want to, so it’s your choice to make, If you really want to feel from  Medieval times, you should wear a lady dress, if not just stick to the normal nowadays wedding dress.

A wedding it’s a special and an amazing event that sometimes has its own rules. In this case you shouldn’t wear at the wedding something that’s truly outside if the wedding scheme. You can be unique and funky, but try not to transform yourself in an outsider due to your outfit. Keep the balance and look gorgeous !
