Weddings Reception Decorations

When planning a wedding every single detail is of utmost importance, that is of course if you want your wedding to be perfect, and let’s be honest, who doesn’t? And as such wedding reception decorations need the appropriate attention alongside things like wedding dress, floral arrangements or the wedding cake.

Most reception sites will be properly decorated for a wedding, but you will probably still be able to give your own input about the type of decorations that you prefer. You will most likely wish to adapt the wedding decorations to your wedding theme or if you don’t intend to use a wedding theme, you will still want to match decorations with the floral arrangements and wedding cake and possibly other decorations such as balloons and others.

What do we think of when we say wedding reception decorations? One would say tablecloths, chair covers, napkins, candles and candle holders, name card holders, ribbons, cake stands, flower centerpieces, vases and balloons. These are all things that will embellish your reception venue, which is why vendors offer you a variety of choices for each of those items.

For instance for tablecloths and chair covers you will be able to choose amongst varieties of fabrics, colors, print and arrangement styles. You can choose a variety of napkins designs or even personalized napkins. Whether you wedding takes place at daytime or nighttime, candles are a must. They create a beautiful romantic ambiance, perfectly suited for such a romantic occasion. Flowers and floral arrangement are great contributors to the ambiance. The flowers you choose, their colors, the way they are arranged, the flower centerpieces you choose can contribute to a romantic ambiance, an elegant or simple one or to any style of your choosing.

Aside from all the choices already described you can also use themes for a number of items like tablecloths, chair covers, napkins, name cards, ribbons and others. For instance you can choose to use wedding bells and hearts as they are though to best represent the occasion, bride and groom figurines or you can choose to be unique and creative and create your own themes.

We all know that having options and choices is good, because they give us the opportunity to have things the way we want them to. But there is probably no other occasion in life when we have to make more choices than when planning our wedding. This is why making a detailed plan is a good idea. Because then you can plan for each part separately as if they were entirely different matters. If you think of the wedding as a whole you will probably panic. So plan separately for venues, decorations, dress, flowers, menu, cake and all the others and try to keep in mind that choices are good.

How you manage to tick every check-box of the list, I cannot say. But you do it. And you just make it easier for us, the future brides. There are sometimes so many to think of that you just miss something that would prove to be very important. I would have missed the napkins, for instance. I will get married not very soon, but I’m already beginning to look for everything I need. I’ve recently been to a very elegant and top wedding. And the impression of richness I got from all those simple decors was amazing. I know for a fact that everything was not expensive, but the flower arrangements and everything else matched in style and color and all that … it was superb. It was an ocean theme, so there were blue veils and, shells and starfish as candle holders… just superb.

My budget is very low so inexpensive decorations would be a requirement for me. At the same time, I don’t want something that would make the room, the tables, the venue in general too loaded, too crowded. So I’m thinking of something stylish but very airy. And fortunately I’ve taken some courses for that, so I will try to make my own decorations. For instance the napkins, there are so many ways in which to arrange them to look very nice. And I think I will have some bowls with candies on the table, so they will be both nice and useful. You can make really nice bowls with candies if you choose the right colors and type of cover for them. And the shape of the bowl, of course.
