Another item that shows and stands for wedding tradition is the wedding cake. The cake is not just a cake and its goal is not just to provide a sweet end to the wedding reception. It's more than this. For example in Roman times the bride had to do not the most elegant thing you may say: a small cake had to be smashed into her head and this symbolized fertility.

The guests were involved too because they would pick up the cake pieces from the floor and they would keep them for luck. Nowadays no cakes will spoil the bride's beauty or hairstyle but it will surely make guests smile when they taste it. Beside the cake can be the one that show your passions and creativity. There are a lot of couples that love wedding tradition but they just want to have a unique wedding cake. This is done before the couple enters their new home where they will start the new life together. Why does the groom have to do this?
