Wedding Speeches

At a wedding, usually the best man holds a speech. Making an original speech and speaking in public is not easy at all. However, when the best man takes this responsibility, he has to deal with all those fears, and he has time to deal with those fears and have his speech prepared with days until the event. However, sometimes the groom or other important guest, such as the bride’s father or the groom’s brothers, is asked to say something. And if they are afraid to speak in public and they have not written anything, things can turn quite bad for him.



No matter in which situation are you, the wedding speeches are not something different form the wedding toasts, they may be considered to last longer, but that is the only difference. So, because the groom’s speech has become more popular today, to be sure that you will avoid a moment that is not so nice for you when people ask you to say something, thing about some things you would like to share with your guests at your wedding before the event. This way you will be prepared just in case.

However, you should remember that the ones that are there with you are your friends and relatives, they are people who know you, so do not have to be afraid talking with them. No one will criticize you because you are not the best orator, and people usually listen with pleasure and indulgences, whatever you have to say, because after all the things you say are more important than the way you say it. Use the time to express your feelings about this special occasion.

If you have enough time to hold your speech do not concentrate all your efforts and attention on your bride or on the bridal couple, if the case, say something about the guests and do not forget to thank them for being there with you on this important day. Speak clearly and simple, smile while you are speaking and look the ones that you are speaking with in their eyes. Do not let your emotions overcome you and make sure that you have said everything you wanted and that you made yourself understood. What you say in your speech is your choice. Do not think that some elements have to be contained and some should not under any circumstances. The fact is that you have to be as creative and original as possible and this is after all the main thing your guests are going to appreciate. If you feel a little confident introduce something funny in your speech and seeing everybody laugh will be a very relaxing element that will make your job so much easier.
