I am not a very religious person, but I do believe in the existence of God and in His blessings. Therefore I wouldn't want to start my marriage without asking God to come to my wedding and bless both of us. So yes, I would definitely ask the priest to say all of these traditional prayers and also allow us to say our owns, if possible. And not like vows to each other, but as prayers that would speak about our own wishes and our own gratitude to God and to the other people. Getting married is such an important event that I wouldn't like to enter this new life without asking for forgiveness an for blessing from my parents, his parents and God.
Very nice article. I a ms o happy to see there are people who understand the importance of a religious ceremony.
