Wedding Invitation Wording

When announcing that you get married simple words are not enough. The proof? A wedding invitation, the image one can make toward your whole event.

A wedding invitation presents the most important details regarding this event: the place, the hour, the godfathers name and also the cell numbers for contact. Hence, it can not look like note, needs to have personality, something out of the ordinary to express you originality.

Beside the aspect, there are 4 categories of wedding invitation wording: classic style, modern, romantic and funny.

Classic ones have become recently a little bit obsolete, due to the fact that such texts were used for years. The event will be at the X church, on X (the date) , at X pm.( the hour). The greetings, meal and dance will be at X restaurant.”

Modern ones impress more, due to the fact that the text used is more profound: “Two soul mates, with their parents and godparents blessing, will make their oaths to love each other for ever.-details about the place and others-We want to share this moment with you, with sincerity-grooms names.”

Romantic ones are the most requested. And why not to be like this, if they have juicy love texts? They represent a piece of groom`s vows, due to the fact that contains quotes or lyrics about love and marriage: “2 hearts, one love/ 2 promises, a unity/ 2 life become just one…details about place and so on..Please be witness to the first step to our new life together.”

Finally, funny ones reveal unlimited joy and happiness regarding this event: “Unbelievable, but true. We decided to get married!!! Come and see on yourself….details place, hour….Your presence there is needed, so cancel your plans!”

Apart from this, wedding invitation wording involves creativity, so you do not exclude the possibility to make your own piece of art. In this way, you save some money because you already have the text and the typography needs only to print them.

Finally, there are lots of options from where to choose, but invitations should be in theme with the whole wedding. So, depending on what you already chose, I mean the details such as colors and flowers, the wedding invitations should not be such a difficult task to accomplish. All these things considered, do not let the others around you influence your decision; the invitations reveals your personality and tells a story about you and your future husband/bride. Be spontaneous, creative, full of joy and confident in what you decided.

I’ve received lots of invitations during the last past years. I thought it was an epidemic of weddings, really. And what I could see was that the tone and layout of the invitation set the mood for the whole wedding. When I got the modern type of invitations, I attended modern weddings. The funny invitations were just a glimpse of the fun we had and so on. I also noticed that those invitations that had something hand made on them matched the center pieces at the weddings and gave the weddings a very intimate air. This is what i want to accomplish at my own wedding, too. I want to create an intimate atmosphere, a very romantic one. So the text will be really romantic, something that will make the guests know what to expect.
