First of all, because they look so natural. Second, because they are so practical. You don't need water for them, so less worries about knocking the flower arrangements down. They don't whither and they can be used for the other location of your wedding. As with many weddings nowadays, it is almost a custom to make the wedding reception twice. Depending on the distance. For instance, if you marry closer to your husband's hometown, many of your friends and relatives might not be able to come. So you may decide to have another ceremony or reception a few days later, in your hometown. And then you can use the same silk floral arrangements. No head aches at all.
