Photography For Weddings
If you are a young photographer and you don't have too much experience in this, if your next job and challenge is to take photos at a wedding, then you need some tips for wedding photography.
The first thing you should do in wedding photography is that you should ask the happy couple to think a little bit ahead and to decide what kind of photos they want. Of course you can use your creativity too, but this is just to make sure that when you check the photos after the wedding, they will not realize that they don't have a photo with their aunt from the countryside. This could be a disaster. When it comes to photos with the family, this is maybe the most important part in wedding photography. You have to capture the joy that everybody feels in that special day.

You will probably need a helper. You can call him the family photo coordinator. It's going to be really hard to handle everything by yourself because the festive spirit is at his place when we are talking about weddings. Because of too much joy, some of the guests will probably drink some full glasses of alcohol and it will not be easy for you to coordinate all of them. This is why you need the photo coordinator. He can help you and he can keep the spirits under control. It can get really chaotic, so some help will be very welcome. In any work any help is best welcome,it is the same in wedding photography.

A very good idea for you is to check out the location. Scouting the location is really useful. Even though almost all the PROs don't do this, it is an important step in wedding photography. You will see the wedding spot, maybe imagine some nice wedding shoots, see how the light is, work a little bit with it and maybe do some tests. Some photographers, together with the couple, go to the location and make some photos to test if everything is all right. This gives you a safe night sleep before the wedding and you can do your job faster and better. Also, another very important thing in wedding photography is to be prepared. Always to be prepared. Think about everything, about the things that could go wrong, like the whether. Have your batteries charged, your memory cards blank, think about the itinerary and maybe make a map and a plan so you'll know which is the next place you have to go to. If it's possible for you, attend the rehearsals and see how the whole thing will happen. It will be a great opportunity to gather a lot of information about the wedding. You will probably see good photo shooting scenes and you will get to know better the couple to be married. Knowing better the couple is the key. You have to set expectations with them. Share your work with them, show them your photos and tell them what you can and what you cannot do. Ask them which are their goals, what thy want you to photograph, which moments are more important for them than others, etc. Just a little idea: turn off the sound on your camera, beeps and other sounds are not the best in wedding speeches or kissing scenes.

Keep it simple and take photos of details. Take photos of rings, shoes, menus, arrangements, decorations. Check out a wedding magazine for inspiration. On the other hand it would be perfect if you had two cameras with you. Two different cameras, with different lenses, you can take amazing shots. Talking about another camera, well a second photographer is not a bad idea as well. He doesn't have to steal your work,he just has to be there in case of emergency. Besides, the pressure of you being the one who takes every shoot won't be that big. Of you want to do your best in wedding photography, sometimes you have to be a little bold to get your best shot. This doesn't mean that you don't have to be polite. Remember, you want to get the best moment, not to ruin it. Try to do loudly moves when songs are playing and not when there a speech. In wedding photography you have to be bold and you have to be straight and ask the couple what you want, how you want it and where. You can do this even if it's their party. Tomorrow they will thank you.
Again, very important in wedding photography is to try to get the best backgrounds. During a wedding is kind of a hard thing to do, because there are always people going everywhere. You have to think ahead in all kinds of photography as well as in wedding photography and to have in your mind the backgrounds you want. There are good things and bad things about digital photo taking. You can watch the photos you've taken and this is not necessarily one good thing. Don't delete your mistakes, these ones can be the most interesting shoots of all. Maybe you don't appreciate them, but the married couple might like them, so give them a chance to see them. The best thing about digital cameras is that you can have the photos out as fast as you can. Discard them and post them at the reception. all the guest will be thrilled to see the photo that are going to be their memories.

If you're taking photos outside, keep your flash attached so it will give a special light to the normal flash. Be aware of the fact that things can go wrong. Like I've said before, be prepared. Even though it happens, it might be the best part of the whole day. These are the best memories the bride and groom will have, try to immortalize the best of them, because in wedding photography this small things matter the most.

Do not forget that a wedding is a celebration, so try to have fun while taking great photos. The more relaxed you are the more fun you'll have and your photos you'll look stunning. Hope that after reading this article you will be a fun of wedding photography.
