Not quite. I can’t imagine my wedding without my family and best friends as witnesses around me. To have a wedding for two because of money is not my idea of a wedding. And it’s lack of respect for the family, for those who raised you for so long. So I would pay more just to bring them with me and to invite them not only at the ceremony, but also at a small reception, a fancy dinner to celebrate our wedding. Maybe it means more money, but it also means real happiness and joy and a good start in marriage.
