I Want To Be A Wedding Planner When I Grow Up

I don’t know about you but I always had a dream of becoming a wedding planner. I know that every girl is dreaming about how their wedding will be, what dress they will wear, what shoes they will have, how the place will look like. But I was not dreaming of my own wedding, in fact I gave up on love, I thought that a wedding planner should not marry but should completely dedicate in planning other people’s weddings.

I remember the day I decided I want to become a wedding planner, was the day I gave up on love, I decided to create stories for other people, forgetting about my own, planning a wedding is like creating a story that will say something about that couple, what their vision is what their personality is.

Creating memories, never ending memories, we all grow up with fairy-tale stories in which the end is ‘’they got married and they live happily ever after’’. What is beyond this happily ever after the wedding planner doesn’t know. The job of the wedding planner is to create a moment; an unforgettable moment in someone else’s life and the story ends there.

I am sure everyone has its own story on why they want to become a wedding planner or when they decided to become one. Some people relate this career with happiness, beauty, sensitivity, creativity; some relate this with wealth, luxury because in the past it was a luxury to hire a wedding planner and mostly high class society used a wedding planner. I think it is a great job but not all people are made to become a wedding planner it takes special skills, there are numerous details involved in planning a wedding, you cannot fake these skills and you cannot expect to become a good wedding planner if you are doing this only for money if you are not dedicated and if you don’t put your heart in every detail from every wedding.

I actually never thought of becoming a wedding planner but when I saw this article I said it would be interesting to read it. And it was. I don’t really understand the reason why yo became a wedding planner. how come that you gave up love? I think that if you cannot or if you give up love, then you can’t be a successful wedding planner. Unless you are happy with your love life, with your personal life, I don’t think you would be able to make other dream’s come true. You need love in order to plan the perfect wedding and in order to give love you first need to have it. So I wouldn’t hire a wedding planner who’s day to me they gave up love. That planner cannot create something real, but artificial. And I don’t want an artificial wedding.

  2. To be a wedding planner is not a piece of cake. With every client, you will start from scratch. Because they have different taste and perspective. They have unique identity on their own. Hope those who aspires to be a wedding planner will find themselves in that place.
