Now that you have your own website built and live, let’s begin. Time to put the studies and knowledge to use, and start our business. The online portofolio gets your work seen by the massses, and don’t we all appreciate the feedback?
A website is like a detailed business card, speaking of which, do you have photos from the events you have collaborated on, participated at, worked on? It will look amazing on custom made business cards, provided by moo.com, photos such as brides and grooms, table settings, decorations, anything else that looks great; if not feeling creative with it you can take someone to help you, maybe your own pair? I’m my own photo editor for example.
Then there’s that course you probably have done in highschool or university on marketing, and making the best business plan does include some good marketing. Have that book gathering dust on your bookshelf, on a business related subject? Well it is a great excuse to start reading it. An event management/marketing course does help with the nice skilled people who haven’t studied this particular subjects and want to make it in business without really trying. Well it’s the title of a broadway play, it’s really hard work truly is. If you did that already well, let me see your website then ! Most of us have an opportunity close to us but we’re not aware of it. Make the most of it! You can build a business without a lot of money to spend, and I mean it. Courses yes, you can invest a few pennies in them, so that way you’re sure you have the knowledge to set yourself apart and you’ll know how to use it. Signing a contract with a law firm to help you with the laws involved, one of the important aspects. That networking and online work we talked about in ‘’How to promote yourself’’ connects with this article.I love the Do it yourself thing going on the internet, it sure is my way.
Putting everything together will surely be a lot of fun, although time consuming. Nothing to worry about, it’s the way of making a living, A CHALLENGE at first, but it does take shape with a bit of effort and time. It’s all about time, dedicate it and it will be successful! Bring on those collaborations we talked about, and all the beautiful websites, and content! Goodluck!
