Funny Wedding Vows
Many couples nowadays decide to have some funny wedding vows, to make the event even more memorable for all their guests. This technique can also be used if you are a very emotional person, but you do not feel very good expressing your feelings, even if that what the weddings are all about.
No matter what is your reason for doing so, you can make funny wedding vows, but you have to be very careful about how funny they really are for the others. The first thing to do is to decide with your partner about the texts and than ask your best man and brides’ maids for their opinion, because that might be the general opinion of your guests.
However, if you need an inspiration for your funny wedding vows, here are some ideas you may use to create your own texts. Anyway, you do not have to use these kinds of vows on your wedding day. You can use them on the rehearsals to entertain your friends and make everybody laugh since they are taking form their own time to rehears for your wedding ceremony to be perfect, as so you will also make everyone a surprise with your real wedding vows.
- “I, take you to be my husband, my partner in crime and my one true bad boy lover. I will cherish our friendship even when you’re away. I will laugh at you, cry for you and love you semi-faithfully.”
- “I offer myself to you in marriage and I pledge honesty, sincerity and once a month fidelity, depending upon my mood. I promise to be a faithful and obedient wife as long as you don’t cross me and I get my way all the time.”
- “I take you to be my lawfully wedded wife, to be together in happiness and strife, to have and to hold, even if your cooking grows mold. I love you in richness and in debt and cherish all moments since we have met. I promise to love you until the end of my days, as long as you stay out of my baseball plays.”
Some very good funny wedding vows can be inspired form movies. For example in “Wedding Crashers”, you will find one of the funniest vows made by the bride. A beautiful vow is also the one form the American TV show “Friends”, at Monica Geller and Chandler Bing wedding. This can surly inspire you to make your unique wedding vows.

Finally an article of my taste. What’s wrong with funny weddings and vows? I believe they are great! These vows here are sure thing funny. Not to use in a real ceremony, as you’ve said. But as you’ve written, for the rehearsals. I guess that if you want to use funny vows in the real ceremony you need to be very careful. In my opinion you need to discuss this with your partner and moreover remember the funniest moments in your relationship. In this way you could make hints to those moments that might be understood just by yourselves and at the same time seem decently funny to the guests. But of course, they also need to be very natural and be made only if you are a funny person. It’s all about your own personality, after all.
